A team of committed staff support the centre providing 24 hour cover all year round.

 

Name: Ian Aitken
Title: Director

Affectionately referred to as "The General" among staff and students, Ian has been working for the Lighthouse since September 2001 and is crucial to the day-to-day running of the Centre.  In March 2011, Ian took on the leadership of the Lighthouse under the guidance of the leadership team at Church at the Foundry.  He ensures all aspect of the centre are running together smoothly and efficiently.
Ian is married to Linda and has three children, Phil, Gabriella and Georgina and two grand children Annabella and Alexander.

Name: Daniel Royle
Title: Support Officer

As one of the support staff, Danny has worked for the Foundation for 3 years and has seen first hand the damage substance misuse has on not only the addict but their families. Danny supports the residents in their day-to-day lives and around the centre as part of the apprenticeship for life program. Danny’s role also as part of the support team is to help restore the lives, relationships and futures of our residents and their families.
Danny is married to Audrey who is from Mississippi.

Name: Paul Daniels
Title: Support Officer

As one of our Support Officers, Paul's role is to support the students in all aspects of the Apprenticeship for Life programme. This includes mentoring, and offering emotional and spiritual support through the apprenticeship process. He gives practical support in areas of health and well-being also.

Name: Kevin Wilson
Title: IT Instructor

Kevin's role is to deliver IT training to the students as part of the Apprenticeship for Life programme. This includes designing and delivering weekly sessions covering a variety of topics such as word processing CVs, how to use windows and macs. He also gives practical IT support when required by other staff and students.
